[27 Dec 2011|07:21am]
Hi everyone, hope you had a great Christmas without too many cares. Sadly, sometimes Christmas is far from care-free, with the costs and stresses of getting some people down so much that you can almost forget that it's a time to celebrate. And when it takes that extra time to finally get into the spirit of it, it can be over in the blink of an eye, just as you're starting to enjoy it.

Don't you wish there was some way to keep Christmas with you throughout the year AND be sure you'll be ready for it when December rolls around? Well, guess what, there is! From the bottom of my heart, I can recommend the Chrisco Christmas hamper club...

Chrisco hampers offer you all the food, accessories and gifts you could possibly need. With a little bit of planning, you can spend the year paying off supplies little by little. You will hardly notice that the money has gone each week, but come Christmas time, it will all add up to a wonderful hamper of Christmas goods being delievered to your house. The sooner you order and start paying, the smaller your weekly/fortnightly/mothly (whatever suits you best) payments will be.

The full range of hamper choices can be viewed online, or you can request a catalogue by calling 1800 144 662.

It may sound like a well-worn advertising slogan, but never a truer word was spoken than when they say you really can save for a magical Christmas with Chrisco.

I am not a troll, nor do I make any profit from posting this. I simply believe in this program, and think you will too if you give it a go. This is not spam.

G'day Brisbane [06 Oct 2010|10:31pm]

G'day, we've recently moved to Brisbane (from Sydney), and I was wondering if this group was still active or had moved somewhere. We used to be part of Sydney goth parents group that occassionally had picnics at various parks, etc., and was wondering if anything similar was still active in Brisbane.

Addam’s Family Party – стильное мероприятие нового формата, совмещающее в себе костюмированную вечеринку, концертную программу, тематический фестиваль и светский раут.

Thought some of you may be interested in this :)

Life Matters (ABC radio) June 6
Intensive Parenting.

A group of academics in the UK is suggesting that an increasing focus on parenting in our community is going too far.

They say that parenting is now seen as so important that its being taken out of the hands of parents.

"Good" parenting is seen as the solution to virtually every social problem - in a way that actually distracts mothers and fathers from the challenges facing them.

Mother's Day Competition! [03 May 2007|11:31am]

[ mood | cheerful ]

Hello lovelies!

Sunday 13th May is Mother's Day and to celebrate I'm going to run a mini-competition within the community with the prize being a gift certificate for High Societea http://www.highsocietea.com.au for the high tea of your choosing (They do offer a gluten free option, see their High Teas page for info. I personally recommend the Royal Ascot Tea, it's full of love! :P)

All you have to do is post, (in reply to this entry) 25 words or less about MOTHERHOOD, it can be amusing, touching, in the form of a poem...whatever! All comments to this entry will be screened until after judging so nobody else can see your entry :)

Competitions will close and entries will be judged by me on Mother's day.
The winner will need to give me their name, postal address and high tea choice.
The certificate is valid for 6 months and subject to booking.

No doubt you ALL deserve some relaxing, indulgent time out but "There can be only one!" so good luck to all of you :)

xoxo Kissindra

Babysitting! [25 Apr 2007|12:29pm]

[ mood | contemplative ]

For those of you that don't know I'm a qualified childcare worker(7+ years experience in childcare centres, family daycare and babysitting) and I hold a current bluecard and first aide certificate.

I had to give up my family daycare busines last year to be more available for my son, Kai, who has Asperger's syndrome (an Autism spectrum disorder) and while I've done a tiny bit of informal babysitting since then,(*waves* to those of I've babysat for :P), I really really miss looking after kiddos and have been thinking about ways to get back into childcare on a much more flexible, casual basis.

So anyway, it occurs to me that I don't mind working weekends and maybe there would be people here looking for a suitably qualified, goth-friendly babysitter so they can get out to a club once in a while.

However I don't want to start the ball rolling until I suss things out.

My thoughts are to offer from a minimum of 3 hours to overnight care on weekends.
I would have a flat hourly rate and an set overnight rate (6pm till 9am)
I can travel within my local area or look after a maximun of 2 children in my own home(we live around the corner from Eagle Junction train station, Northside) I don't drive so those further afield would have to either pick me up and drop me off or cover travel costs.
I would have a maximum of four children, which allows parents to share the costs of babysitting if they wish or cover the whole cost if they would prefer to have exclusive care.
I would set up a website with a calendar of available weekends and all the essential information.

Does this sound like somthing any of you would be interested in?
Any thoughts, queries, ideas?
